Foreword 2022 was not the easiest from a photographic perspective. It should have been a lot more productive as the country opened up from Covid, and indeed it started well with week long trip to Assynt and a couple of days in Arisaig in Spring. However various events resulted in photographic opportunities being few and far between over the summer. Looking back now at my 2022 collection, I must have made a lot more of them than I realised and a small foray into macro was also fairly successful.
In competitions I was a finalist in the British Photography Awards and was again shortlisted in the UK Landscape
Photographer of the Year competition. I also received a portfolio commendation in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition and bagged a runner up spot in the Sea and Coast category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards.
Once again, I’d like to give a big thankyou to everyone who has followed me along on the journey during 2022, commented on posts or just liked an image. It is very much appreciated.
