SUPPORTING TEACHERS
568 educators attended 54 workshops through Child Care Resource & Referral
94% of teachers reported learning a new skill from a CCR&R Training
68 child care programs participating in Sustaining Facility Quality received grants to maintain high quality
97 income eligible early educators earning less than $15 per hour received salary supplements through The WAGE$ Project; 21% completed college coursework
1080 children received vouchers for reduced-cost child care in 4 and 5 star centers
33 programs, 103 children and 116 staff provided with classroom coaching through Preschool Intervention/Inclusion (The SUNSHINE Project)
SUPPORTING AND ENGAGING FAMILIES 10 parents and 7 children participated in The Incredible Years Parenting education program 425 children were enrolled at 21 NC Pre-Kindergarten sites 7 Pop Up Adventure Playgrounds, free public celebrations of child-directed play with recycled materials, were held in Buncombe County Parenting is Hard, a Photovoice Exhibit, displayed at 2 conferences and in 6 community locations

EXPANDING EARLY LITERACY
200 children received books monthly through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library 284 children participated in Play & Learn Groups; 92% of parents reported reading daily with their children as a result
ADVANCING CHILD HEALTH
549 early educators received child care health consultation through 47 trainings; 53 programs received technical assistance 49 child care facilities in WNC, including 17 in Buncombe County, improved physical activity and nutrition practices with training and technical assistance from Shape NC
