1. Unplug
Leave the TV and the incessant social media browsing aside. Technology distances and distracts us from the real world and building real connections. Take a technology break.
2. Tap into your non-verbal and intuitive side
Switch off the left analytical and linear side of your brain and switch into the right side where creativity, imagination & arts live.
3. Process emotion
Have something big going on in your life? Are you perhaps seeking the answer to a problem you can’t seem to solve? Stop the constant analysis and seeking for something that isn’t coming. You’ll be surprised what comes to your mind after a creative session.
4. Creativity breeds more creativity
People try to tell me all the time ‘I’m not creative. I’m just not good at that.’ Firstly, that is rubbish. Secondly, now is the best time to start.
5. Open a door
When you’re creating, you’re expanding not only your skills but your subconscious. New and unexpected paths suddenly appear when you become open to them.
