Alex Zaroukian - Aquatics

“The most rewarding part of Lifeguarding is the extensive measures we take to ensure safety in the community and the appreciation we receive as a result. My favorite part of the job is interacting and meeting new people almost every day.”

Cody McKenna - Sports

“Starting as a Facility Attendant six years ago, I had a wonderful time building relationships with coworkers and community members. From teaching in after school programming, to helping in the Joslyn Travel Office, the list goes on… I’ve met and interacted with so many lovely people. Now, in Youth Sports, it’s so rewarding to watch the kids grow up and have fun recreating!”

Bria Wade - Youth Programs

“Working in Recreation allows me to bring my creativity to work each day! I love coordinating special events and programs for youth and teens. We have an open door at our Recreation Centers where people come in excited to sign up for our programs! I enjoy working as a team and exceeding expectations.”

Jon McGinley - Sports

“I grew up in Burbank and participated in all the Parks and Recreation (PR) programs. I found my love for PR when I started working in the Sports Office in 2004 and wanted to be a part of all the amazing programs. I continued with Got Wheels, Teen Programs, and the Nature Center. I am now a Youth Sports Supervisor and help create programs for the Burbank community, something I am very proud to be a part of.
