The Importance of Rabbit Company People don’t realise that rabbits are very social animals and need to be kept in groups just like the way they live in the wild. They need to preferably be living in either a pair or a group of them because a lonely rabbit will only get bored and will be miserable. If you want a male and female to live together it is better to have then neutered if you don’t want any kittens (baby rabbits). Neutering your rabbits will prevent your rabbits breeding and inevitable fighting. It is also a good idea to pick two rabbits who will get along by introducing them to each other when they are very young so they are used to each other. Another thing is that rabbits and guinea pigs don’t make good housemates because they are a totally different species to each other and rabbits tend to bully guinea pigs because they are smaller than themselves. It is a good idea to socialise rabbits when they are very young because that way they develop into confident and friendly adults with being exposed to a variety of situations. Humans and rabbits get along really well and your rabbit will welcome playtime, however, it is important that your rabbit also has interaction with another rabbit for it to be able to be truly - a happy bunny.
