NW is a youth and community based organisation that supports young people with any issues or barriers they face. We can support young people with a range of topics - barriers to employment/training, careers support, CV writing etc. In addition, we offer 1:1 support with any problems they may face. Typical job roles include youth work, youth leadership group, volunteering opportunities on the youth panel and marketing and administration support.
PENDLESIDE HOSPICE has for the last 35 years been a pillar of palliative care, offering support and compassion to individuals, as well as their families and carers. We promote and enhance the quality of life for people with advancing long term and life limiting illnesses, and provide support families and carers, offering specialist and holistic palliative care. We have front line positions in the medical arena including palliative care doctors, nurses, health care professionals, bereavement support counsellors and complimentary therapists.
PM+M are chartered accountants and financial advisors with offices in Burnley, Blackburn and Bury. We have nearly 170 team members, and each year we take on a new cohort of school/college leavers and graduates to embark on an apprenticeship with us. We offer around 10 apprenticeships each year in: accounting, audit, cloud accounting, tax, payroll, and financial planning, where a school/college leaver would join us as a trainee adviser. You would attend college once a week to study the AAT, CIPP or the CII. Progression onto chartered qualifications once complete are available, in ACCA, ICAEW or the CII.
PROJECT SEARCH is a supported internship programme for young adults aged 18-24 with an EHCP. It runs in collaboration with Calico, Burnley College and Lancashire County Council and helps support people with learning disabilities and/or autism into employment. The course runs for one academic year and during that time you access the support of a Tutor and Job Coach. We offer three 10-12 week long work experiences alongside an employability curriculum which teaches interview skills, CV writing, workplace etiquette etc. We offer placements such as hospitality, admin, warehousing, retail, construction and IT.
