P3 - Storage

When I think of the word storage, the first thing that came to my mind was the words of accumulation and stacking. What I mean by these accumulations is the placing of used or unused items regularly or irregularly on top of each other. The result of my observations in Taşkale is that these accumulations are usually near the houses and that most of the houses in Taşkale can be observed. These accumulations restrict the free space near the houses. The accumulation and the empty space next to the houses have an inverse proportional relationship. If I talk a little bit about these experiences, they are usually more complex structures. It consists of different materials. Examples of these materials include tractor tires, wooden parts, wooden panels, wires, stones, nylon and the like. If I describe the systems of accumulation, their systems change according to the material and time that come out of the house. At first, the items placed on the floor begin to accumulate on top of each other because there is no place on the floor and thus accumulation occurs. While such examples exist in settlements. In Taşkale there are houses which were formerly inhabited but have now been demolished. The remains of these houses actually form a deposition there. The stones that break away from the houses accumulate on the ground and form a accumulation of stones. These accumulations are sometimes made naturally and sometimes artificial years. These are the accumulations made by people I have mentioned artificial ways. Natural deposits are those that are mostly due to weather events. For example, as a result of breaking up a large rock into small pieces, a rock accumulation occurs in the place where the rock is located, and these rock accumulations form a slope in that area. Taşkale is a good place to examine these two examples.

Upcycling and Re-Form Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value.

*The relationship between the gathering and the structure?

*Can the gathering materials be part of temporary use when storing? *Can the gathering be used to create the structure itself or part of it?

The rail system on the ceiling is for carrying materials comfortably inside the space.

The mezzanine floor, which is at the same height as the upper elevation, allows people on the upper floor to enter the building and see what is inside the building from the upper floor.

Moving walls help make space more flexible. The reason I prefer this system especially in the entrance facades of the storage areas is that it is easier for materials of different sizes to enter and exit the structure.

Storage places consist of 4.5 meters long walls. These walls were placed at certain intervals on the right and left sides of the building. Thus, the materials will accumulate around these walls just as they accumulate in my first research.
