The project area has been an educational area throughout the history and is an area where highschoolsarestillpresent.Inthepast,ithosted educational complexes within the scope of the Village Institutes Project, which is one of the most powerful educational systems of the state.Thisregionofthecityhas becomeaplace of education and training in the city’s memory. During the project design phase, it was understood from the field visits and analyzes that the land had accumulated over the years and the ruins of the building wanted to tell us something. Today, when we visit there, the traces of several buildings and practice workshops from the old schools still remain. The museum in the site has many memories of this old school. Some of the photos found here are torn and whispering to us. The project was inspired by these inferences. Memories, traces, whispers and contrasts are the four most important concepts. Public spaces should establish direct connections with users andallowthemtowork.This“ArtCampus”should educate people. It should strengthen intergenerational communication by bringing together peoplefromdifferentagegroups.Inthiscontext, it strengthens social and cultural sustainability.
