Assistant to the City Manager Starting Salary $51,770 - $64,713/year Depending on Qualifications Nature of Work: This position provides highly responsible and complex support to City departments and operations within the City Manager’s office. This is accomplished by providing quality customer service to citizens; assisting the City Manager’s staff in conducting necessary research of issues; preparing presentations for City Council; monitoring Federal and State legislation; and assisting with the City budget.
Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field. A Master's degree in public administration or business administration is preferred. Candidates should have three to five years experience as a management assistant/analyst in a local government setting. A valid Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record over the last three years is also required.
