Master of Entrepreneurship

— Entrepreneurial success does not rest solely on creativity and intuition. Being able to think rationally, reflectively and deeply about ideas – including a preference for evidence and data inspired insight – adds greatly to unlocking creative pathways. The Master of Entrepreneurship is for ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who want to play a transformational role in Australia’s social and economic future.

Program outline

Program details

Students will gain hands-on experience in prototyping new products and services, running a pop-up business, and developing a start-up business idea to pitch for venture capital funding. They will be mentored by entrepreneurs and acquire experience inside existing start-ups.

• Entry in Summer Semester (February) only

Graduates of the program will be ‘start-up’ ready. They will have the formal skills and capabilities to transform the global, social and business landscape, as well as develop themselves and think about the entrepreneur within.

• An undergraduate degree in any discipline

Who is it for? This program is for creative, passionate and driven individuals who want to aquire the skills and knoweldge to successfully commercialise products and services in a start-up environment. For anyone who has ever had an idea, the Master of Entrepreneurship is where the journey of transforming great ideas into even greater enterprises starts.

Outcomes

($4,000 per 12.5 credit point subject)

The interview for shortlisted candidates will include a component for admission to Ormond College as well as the University.

($4,000 per 12.5 credit point subject)

Scholarships: The Wade Institute has a dedicated scholarship program to help make sure financial need is not a barrier to high potential entrepreneurs joining the program. These scholarships include the Ormond Entrepreneur’s Scholarship and the Naomi Milgrom Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs, as well as partial fee remission scholarships awarded by the Faculty of Business and Economics based on academic merit. The Master of Entrepreneurship consists of nine core subjects comprising two foundation subjects, six entrepreneurship core subjects, one capstone subject (25 points) and two elective subjects.
