Step 2 – Think about and capture your interests  Think about your interests and pastimes  Note them down in this tool  Try to be precise in how you capture your interests

Step 3 – Prioritize your skills and interests  Go through each item on your lists and think about each one  You’ll need to prioritize each item based on your experience, expertise, interest and enthusiasm for it  Keep your prioritization simple, rate each one as High, Medium or Low  Don’t feel that this section needs to be rushed

Step 4 – Combine your skills and interests to create ideas  Take the first skill that you have rated as ‘H’ and put it with the first interest that you’ve rated as ‘H’ and write it down. Then, combine that first skill with the second interest you rated as H and so on until you’ve combined your first skill with all ‘H’ interests  Next, go to your second ‘H’ skill and combine it with all ‘H’ interests and so on until you’ve combined all of your ‘H’ skills with all of your ‘H’ interests  If, after completing this step, you don’t feel that you have quite enough combinations, you can repeat this with your ‘M’ skills and interests You can see an example of this on the next page
