A proud Territory owned and operated business, it began as a small construction and roofing business. Halikos has since successfully developed across seven industries. real estate, hospitality, manufacturing and construction supplies, focusing on the Northern Territory. Together, the duo has built a strong management team and transformed the small local company into a multi-faceted and vertically integrated business. LOCAL LOVE The Halikos Group’s mission remains the same as its early ethos though. To employ locally, buy locally and reinvest profits back into the Northern Territory economy. This has been fundamental to its success. This philosophy has grown with the business too, from its modest beginnings to its huge operations today.

Although Halikos Roofing was the original business venture from which Halikos Group was formed, the business has grown significantly to meet the growing needs of a developing Darwin. By 2002, there was an opportunity to maximise the full potential of prime properties and sites owned by the Halikos Group and thus Halikos Developments was established. Benefitting from the full resources and support of the Halikos Group, Halikos Developments offers full scale capabilities from feasibility and acquisition, to design development, construction, sales and marketing and customer care. Another core division which enables the Halikos Group to thrive, is its construction arm. Taking its expertise from across the group, Halikos Construction is one of the Northern Territory’s most experienced construction companies. It has an enviable reputation for delivering the highest standards of quality in design and construction of residential, commercial and industrial buildings. In addition to these primary divisions, the Halikos Group also has divisions that comprise manufacturing, construction supplies, real estate and hospitality. Making the company a formidable force across multiple sectors. The kinds of projects that the Halikos Group works on can vary wildly, from tennis centres to schools. Though two recent projects that give a sense of the depth and breadth of projects awarded to Halikos Group include a rugby league stadium and a landmark community neighbourhood:
WARREN PARK Awarded to Halikos Construction in 2018, the new $25 million home of local rugby league at Warren Park will provide first class sporting facilities to Territorians. Once completed, the project will include three full-sized fields with one to national standard and a grandstand with a 1200 seating capacity. Additional amenities consist of four changing rooms, corporate capabilities, food and beverage services, parking and the flexibility to host other sporting events. This project alone is said to create over 120 local jobs throughout the construction phase. NORTHCREST Another project awarded to the Halikos Group is the official development contract for the Berrimah Farm, now named Northcrest. A landmark
community, developing this site will be a key economic driver for the area over the next two decades. Centrally located to Darwin, this neighbourhood is professing to be the community of choice for Territorians that want to live, work, play and grow in one vibrant district. The 168-hectare site being developed by the Halikos Group will provide a huge range of amenities, to include residential lots for up to 7500 Territorians, two primary school sites, vibrant retail shopping, dining and commercial space, parklands and activities and a site for retirement living. BUILDING THE TERRITORY As the Halikos Group continues to win large scale awards across each of its divisions, it’s clear that the company benefits from drawing upon its expertise across a range of sectors.
