PERTH TO PUT EVENTS ON WATER PERTH is set to expand its business events facilities with approval given for a permanent event barge to be located 400 metres from Elizabeth Quay. The venue will have capacity for 250 people and will target weddings, business events, corporate functions, cinema nights, private seminars, workshops as well as various breakfast and brunch options. Old Salt Pty Ltd is planning to develop the structure as a modest and minimalist design in the middle of the Swan River. The company has proposed to transfer delegates between Barrack Square and the barge through a special transfer vessel. WA Tourism Minister Paul Papalia said the venture would provide more options for visitors to the city.
THE delegates of the future are out in action this summer for the Brickman Awesome event at ICC Sydney. The exhibition will be made up of 38 neverbefore-seen LEGO models, including the only life-size LEGO Harley Davidson ever made and the only LEGO Caterpillar dump truck, plus a 40,000 brick crocodile. Brickman Awesome runs until 04 Feb.
