Paco conquered the dreaded disease, stamped a successful footprint for Carmen’s Best, which is even offered at Nina’s Café in Bayambang, Pangasinan, and saw through a partnership with MPIC big boss Manny Pangilinan. Perhaps, when one’s perspective is centered on leaving behind a legacy, the neurons in the brain fire up to produce chemicals that conquer cancer cells and that is what provided the backdrop for him to be freed of leukemia. He told the DWIZ radio program that he personally saw through the success of Carmen’s Best knowing that he cannot fail his daughter. That was what drove him. He marketed the ice cream all over the country, sacrificing personal comfort to do so and took charge even of marketing Carmen’s Best to targeted consumers.

Paco did not leave anything to chance, even taking a course on ice cream at the Pennsylvania State Ice Cream School in the United States. And he differentiated the ice cream varieties, coming up with products that he remembered tasting from his travels abroad.
