Bio-recycling center in southwest Florida In February, Synagro completed construction of its latest environmental project, a $4.3 million composting facility in Southwest Florida. The state-of-the-art center will utilize aerobic composting to recycle organic by-products such as biosolids, yard trimmings, and other green waste, converting it into a beneficial natural soil amendment. The new facility will produce a high-quality soil amendment for APRIL | 2014 |

use in local marketplaces and the greener, lower cost agricultural nutrient will be marketed and sold under the name of AllGro™. The natural composted soil product is less expensive than synthetic fertilizers and is proven to improve the physical structure of all types of soil by introducing organic matter that helps build healthy soil which 8

promotes plant growth. The company worked closely with local and county officials within the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and U.S. EPA to assure the facility meets all regulatory requirements. Synagro currently operates three similar composting facilities throughout the United States.
