They worked closely with the FBI and the US Department of Justice on this issue and will support their efforts. In a statement, Uber believed the perpetrator to be associated with a cyber-attack organization named Lapsus$. It has become highly engaged in the past year and has previously compromised several other tech firms this year, including Microsoft, Samsung, and Nvidia. Rockstar revealed that it had experienced network attacks that had caused sensitive data to be removed from its systems. Even though the GTA creator expressed great disappointment, there was no long-term influence on production. There were no interruptions to live programs like Grand Theft Auto Online.
