PROGRAMING

PATIENT ROOMS LAYOUT

Based on the desired requirements from IDEC Student Design Competition, we started to think about the relationships between each space and tried to maximize the function of each space and enhance the patient, family, and the staff experiance. We designed a small nurse station for each patient outside the patient room, and located the patient bed in the front when entering the room to creat a strong and close connection between the patient and the nurse station. Also haveing the smart window and door that turns opaque and clear depending on the patients needs make it more visible to the nurse to keep thier eyes on patient. As well as the restroom located next to the patient bed therefore, the patient can reach easly and safely to the restroom. Large semi-circle family area on the right side when entering the room to give it a cozy and warm feeling. as a result of this programing vision we have inspired by the wave of the ocean and nature lines mix it with strate lines to design the patient room plan.
