LACY SCHOOL of BUSINESS

STUDENTS IN THE LACY SCHOOL of Business (LSB) complete at least two internships, work closely with a professional mentor, benefit from a variety of experiential learning opportunities, and run their own business, all before graduating from college. Through the Real Business Experience, —a class all LSB students take during their sophomore year—you will form teams, create a business idea, apply for funding, and start and run your own business. Butler University’s new platform—BlueWork— connects students and employers for shortterm, project-based work opportunities. Students are eligible to contract with BlueWork as early as their first year, allowing them to gain relevant work experience, build a network, and develop professional skills all through college.

As an LSB student, you can expect to have access to a top-notch learning environment through Dugan Hall, the new 110,000-square-foot business building. It’s home to classrooms and workspaces equipped with the latest technology, a trading room, a cafe, and even a rooftop deck. As a student in Butler’s Lacy School of Business, you won’t have to wait for a career to start. You’ll graduate with four years of experience.

Every Lacy student is assigned a career mentor who stays with them all four years of college, and often beyond. Mentors are experienced, high-level professionals who offer personal, substantive career advice and provide networking opportunities.
