West Buechel Sustainable Communities Initiative
Dear Potential Sponsor: The City of West Buechel, Kentucky is proud to announce the West Buechel Sustainable Communities Initiative. The mission of our initiative is to cultivate projects that foster respect and care for our local residents, sponsor community outreach, and promote the economic development of a progressive city. Cultivating Projects That Foster Respect and Care For Our Local Residents. The City of West Buechel is committed to providing resources for area residents via the following; develop the potential of area youth via strategic community programs and workshops, provide underserved senior residents with the tools needed to be engaged , fully, with twenty-first century technology (basic computer skills, internet access and navigation), in order to prevent disparities. Sponsor Community Outreach (Health and Human Services). In response to improving the quality of life for area residents, the initiative will sponsor community forums, workshops, and symposia that will cover the following; health disparities, violence prevention, community services for the elderly (senior centers), HIV/AIDS Prevention, substance abuse sand community health issues. Promote the Economic Development of a Progressive City. The City of West Buechel is devoted to the economic development of a community that has played an integral role in the growth of Jefferson County. Efforts will go toward supporting the following; cultivating projects that create new jobs and private sector capital, creating new avenues for new industry and entrepreneurship, providing opportunities for the community to capitalize on free trade as well as implement new technologies in the workplace.
