Comments Inventory continues to favor sellers, so prices will continue to increase. Look for inventory to increase as the weather improves. Because of China’s economic difficulties, the Federal Reserve will be cautious regarding interest rate increases. The January recordings will give a hint of what to expect in 2016. Projections for 2015 in italics Overall sales were up by units and dollars recorded from last January which is a very good indicator for the rest of the year. Prices improved over last January by low single digits. Therefore, Real Estats expects values will be firm to higher.

Values improved by 6% or more across the board. Real Estats expects sales of existing homes to record close to 2,700 units in 2015 and new single family detached to record somewhere close to 300 units.

3,047 Existing homes and 291 New SFD homes recorded in 2015 Overall 2015 will be a better year than 2014 for residential real estate in Whatcom County.

2015 was a better year.
