• Just look at this genetic powerhouse. Another G-84 sired bull calf out of a “Genesis” sired dam. G-84 was our pick of Jensen’s Champion Pen of Three and Class Champion and Division Reserve Champion at Denver. He is dark red, deep sided, big topped, long spined with loads of power and muscle all in an athletic, structurally correct package. The dam side is equally impressive as is the sire. She is out of a flush that we purchased from Holdens and the results of this Genesis x 2022z flush resulted in a production of another of our donors. 367 is a natural calf raised by this donor. He is in the top 1% n 4 traits. He also is in the top 7% in milk, 2% in REA and 3% in CHB$! Genetically Enhanced EPDs.

• Red Baldy heifers right off the top of our commercial Hereford cows and a Red Angus bull. We do not keep any of these F1 heifers, so you are getting our best. Lots of length and growth in them. All are AI sired, and each pen will be half siblings. All of them will make excellent mother cows. All my heifers were born last part of January in a ten-day window. They will have all their pre-breeding shots and ready to breed.

• Red Baldy heifers out of Red Angus cows and Hereford bull. The bull, GH Copperstone 11K ET, I’ve used him hard the last two years on both my commercial and registered cows. I’m excited to get them in production. Moderate, thick heifers that will have a lot of growth in them. Here is a great opportunity to get twelve nice F1 Red Baldy heifers put together.

We are excited to be joining the Northwest Hereford Breeders Sale for our 11th year! We are a small, 4th generation, family-owned operation located in beautiful Lemhi Valley of Salmon, Idaho. The Stephenson family started in Utah and moved to the Salmon Valley around 1980 to run Hereford cattle. For the past 20 years we have been working on developing our own herd focusing on a highly maternal cow that can produce a calf with growth and carcass. Along with our two children, Brooke and John, we are currently running about 140 mother cows. We run a mix of registered Herefords and a commercial group with Red Angus influence. We raise registered Hereford bulls and registered and commercial replacement heifers. We primarily sell our bulls through private-treaty and have partnered with Hirsche Herefords in Canada the past 4 years. This year we are pleased to bring 12 of our prime commercial Red Angus/Hereford replacement heifers to the sale. We look forward to seeing you in March!
Wagenblast Richardson Ranch is owned and operated by Vicki Wagenblast and her son-in-law and daughter, Jim Kiley and Becky Richardson. The Wagenblast family has been farming and ranching in Oregon for the last 173 years, and we are proud to continue our ranching heritage as we expand and develop our own registered Hereford and AQHA herds on our ranch outside Lexington, Oregon. We are selling both yearling and two year old bulls at the sale, range ready bulls with proven pedigrees. We are excited to offer these bulls and look forward to meeting you on sale day.
A long history of Herefords exists with the Wilcox family as Marty’s grandparents immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900’s, homesteading in central Montana and ran commercial Hereford cows. Our ranch headquarters was purchased in 1992 and is located in Spangle, Washington which is just outside of Spokane. The family part of the operation includes Marty and Shannon and his sons Matthew and Derrick and wife Jessica. We raise purebred top quality Hereford seed stock with heavy emphasis on the use of AI & Embryo transplant. We also sell show quality heifers and steers. Our cattle herd is focused on balanced traits, with cattlemen minded profitability, and sorted on a competitive phenotype. We have shown our cattle at major Hereford shows; however, we don’t breed show cattle rather we show production cattle. Our family has been a consignor at the Northwest Hereford Breeders Sale, periodically, since the first sale in 2009.
Herefords have always been a part of Lynda and Dave’s life, growing up on Hereford cattle ranches in eastern Oregon and are 4th generation Hereford breeders. We are blessed to live in beautiful, but unrelenting Pine Valley, gateway to Hells Canyon. Summers are ideal for cattle although temperatures range in the 90’s and winters can be long and harsh reaching -30 degrees and snow of 3 feet or more. The cattle are run on irrigated pastures and fed only grass hay which we produce ourselves. In 1978 we started our herd with cattle purchased from Oveson Herefords. Currently we run 80 cows with Lynda’s sister, Cheryl Thomas, also having cows in our herd. Early on cattle were shown and sold at Reno, the Cow Palace, the NILE and Denver; however since 1980 we have also participated in consignment sales. We AI extensively selecting sires that produce strong functional bulls with exceptional EPD’s and good carcass numbers. We have consigned bulls all 17 years to the NWHB bull sale.
