ing of species. Mundomar, your animal park, is located next to the Aqualandia water park and has an extension of 60,000 square metres and landscape features which contribute to creating a park unlike any other. We put on different shows with parrots, sea lions and dolphins plus a variety of activities such as the feeding of sea lions, lemurs and penguins. The underwater viewing of sea lions and dolphins enables visitors to enjoy their interesting exhibitions and learn curious facts about our animals. Other animals we can observe in the park are flamingos, turtles and tortoises, swan, storks, sea lions, seals, otters, different species of lemurs, capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, tropical birds such as toucans, ibis, parakeets, parrots, etc.

It covers an area of 150,000 square metres and has 50,000 square metres of free parking. Aqualandia also features spacious landscaped areas which have been planted with a variety of local vegetation. Since the very first night, that unforgettable 12th of July 1977, more than 5,001 nights have passed. All the lights had been checked, all the microphones were connected, and the staff, artists, stage hands and lighting technicians were ready for the opening night. The doors opened, more than 1,500 people took their seats and it seemed as if all the hard work and hours of dedication had paid off. The dream was finally a reality. Then from the centre of the stage under the brilliance of the lights, those famous words emerged: “Welcome to Benidorm Palace”, with the first intense applause the history of this famous night spot began. Thousands of kilowatts of light flooded the theatre, never to be extinguished in these glorious 25 years. After the first few years full of glory and success Benidorm Palace had made its mark as one of the most prestigious night spots in Spain. The shows where varied and many great names, national and international graced this stage. In August 1990, Benidorm Palace changed ownership and direction, with the phenomenal appearance of Rudolph Nureyev on the stage. The new great productions of Benidorm Palace began to emerge. Many visitors during the last 12 years will remember shows such as “Beautiful girls”, “Like the wind” or “Imagination”. With the updating of the light, sound and special effects systems the shows have grown bigger and better with each passing year. If you have not ventured into the Old Town Benidorm for a night out then you are missing a whole host of bars, restaurants and entertainment on offer. This lively area is described by most as “ the best night out ever”. Catering for all age groups and offering a mixture of straight bars, mixed bars and gay bars the Old Town has it all. Lets start with trying some traditional Tapas either in the afternoon or during the evening the lively Tapas bar area offers extremely good value snacks and drinks. In most bars for 1e you get a Tapas and a small beer or wine! You can choose from a range of over 15 different Tapas so there is something for everyone. Our recommendation is to visit these bars listed below they offer the best Tapas, are extremely friendly to all international visitors and have good quality wines. Use your Vista Card a get a Free Tapas & Drink (one per card holder) La Taberna del Norte – Patrizzi - El Rincon Navarro If you are looking for a sit down meal and want to eat from an international menu then there are a host of great value restaurants. Our recommendations are: Queens Hotel restaurant situated in Plaza Constitucion Old Town Benidorm. The menu offers 4 courses for €14.95 or 3 course for €9.95. Vista Card holders receive a Free glass of wine. Mi Casa is situated in Carrer Major 18 Old Town, Close to the church of St.Jaime. I have read some great reviews and plan to visit myself very soon, hear what customers say: “What a wonderful restaurant this is. I have now been in 2 or 3 times and would go in anytime. I live here in Spain so this is one of our best restaurants to visit in Benidorm. Food, Service, Value and Atmosphere are blooming fantastic. Everyone is also very friendly. Good chill out place to be.” “My fiancé and I had dinner at Mi Casa last night and had a wonderful time.” We always eat late and even though the last diners were finishing their deserts we were welcomed in without hesitation.

The menu has a great choice for all palettes. We both had the pate to start. My fiancé had the Moroccan lamb which was cooked to perfection and I was overjoyed and quite amazed to find they had a prawn and monkfish dish on the menu, I say amazed as all time we have been to Benidorm and eaten in many different restaurants not once have I found monkfish on the menu. The dish was of outstanding quality and presentation. Thanks to everybody at Mi Casa for their great food, great service and a fantastic dining experience!” Entertainment in the Old Town starts with a bar crawl, visit as few bars to get into the spirit of things, soak up the atmosphere and have a couple of drinks. If you like beer then a visit to bar “Diferente” situated just around the corner of Mercadona at the bottom of C/Tomas Ortuño. Sample from a choice of over 100 different international beers. The experience of beer tasting could not be better than here in smart surroundings, very friendly staff who speak both English and Spanish. There really is not another bar like this one anywhere! Dont miss their fantastic Beer Festival from 1st July – 3rd July with over 240 beers both draught and bottles from 1e. With so much entertainment to choose from in the Old Town you really need more than a night, most people I talk to after visiting the Old Town for the first time keep going back and each time find something new. Our recommendations for entertainment are the famous “Rich Bitch” show and also opposite Klee Kafee now established for 10 years have some fantastic comedy drag acts. Differnt shows throughout the week, it free entry and gets really busy a very popular night spot for all. Cabaret at Queens Hotel also offers a different act each night at 10.30pm Stand up Comedy, Singers, Drag and some of the best known artists in town perform here. Turn up early if you want a seat as it is extremely popular and is free entry. The nightlife in Old Town Benidorm goes on until 4am there is something for everyone and although a large part of the Old Town is known as the Gay Village many bars are mixed and are the best bars in town. Great music is one of the things that is apparent and in most of the bars also with music videos, some have Karaoke and are just fun places to meet people from all over the world.

La Roca – Albir I think that everibody should know that I just had the best lambshoulder in my life,stewed with garlic and rosemary. so soft and juicy,unbelievable.... my wife had the spareribs with ginger-chili sauce and we go back tomorrow to taste some more. very nice service and food by the owners themselves.
Ln Tapas Del Mundo – Old Town Benidorm When we were introduced to this tiny little restaurant I thought well we can stop for a quick bite and glass of vino and then head on to the next Tapas bar, if you know the area its full of Tapas bars and restaurants. 3 hours later we were still eating and drinking, the wine was flowing down like it was going out of fashion! and the food was nothing like normal Tapas this was just an incredible experience. Perfect cooking fresh and tasty, I enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to go back!
