BIO AND PERFORMANCE RECORD: Likewise combines his striking good looks with a lovely personality and easy athleticism. He is a light, modern type who could succeed across multiple equestrian sport arenas.

His pedigree has great depth on both sides: sire Lestat is a son of Lordanos, producer of both international level jumpers and top quality hunters. Lestat’s damline also carries notables such as Contender and Silvio I. Likewise’s dam was an imported elite eligible Hanoverian mare that was in the jumper breeding program. Damsire For Feeling, son of Olympic Champion For Pleasure, also sired top jumpers such as international grand prix winner, Fibonacci.

In 2018, Likewise was Reserve Champion at the Young Horse Series Finals as a two year old in both the In Hand/At Liberty and the Jump Chute classes, scoring 8.5’s each for conformation, quality of gaits, athleticism and overall impression, and in the jump chute receiving 8.7’s each for front and hind leg technique, and a 9 for scope.

In 2019 Likewise won his In Hand qualifier with compliments on his correctness and good disposition, again qualifying for the Finals in both divisions. In 2020 Likewise won the YHS Tryon 4 year old over fences qualifier, and earned the second highest score in the nation. He scored top ten nationally in the under saddle test, as well.

As a son of the “Horse of the Century” For Pleasure, with Quidam de Revel, Cassini I and Caretino behind, he is from the best of the best in show jumping blood. Quidam’s Pleasure is a long legged and modern sporthorse, with incredible lightness and balance, carefulness and reflexes. Quidam’s Pleasure displays excellent form with a classic front end and powerful hindend technique. During his 2022 season under Olympian Katie Laurie, he produced multiple clear rounds from 1.20 – 1.30m to achieve his lifetime approval with BWP/NAD. His career earnings totalled over 1.8 million euros, ahead of Milton, and his offspring have won well over 2.5 million euros among them. For Pleasure’s offspring speak for themselves. He has produced more than 80 grand prix jumpers, with 18 of these being licensed stallions; a total of 70 sons of For Pleasure sons have been approved by various studbooks. His dam, Greetings from Quidam – Stamm 7126, is a direct daughter of the legendary, Quidam de Revel. She was imported from Belgium in 2009, as a 3 year old mare in foal with her first For Pleasure offspring. Due to her extraordinary genetics, she has been retained as a broodmare. Quidam de Revel is without a doubt one of the most influential stallions of all time and continues to stay current in the top rankings long after his passing. Not only Quidam, but also his sons and daughters determine in large part the picture of the international scene today in sport and stud. Charisma de Sjiem, the dam of Greetings from Quidam, is a mare with incredible genetics through the combination of Cassini I and Caretino, two of the world’s best jumping horse progenitors. Charisma and her daughters have produced FEI competitors up to the 1.60m level. Moreover, she is also the full sister of the international jumper Crusado who competed to 1.60m.
