Lent Whole School Events After the absence of Lent Term in school events last year, it was fantastic to be back in School to celebrate a number of events as a whole school - and no-one does it better than Beechwood!
Beechwood Pancake Races On Shrove Tuesday, despite the weather doing its utmost to put a halt to proceedings, the whole school gathered on the Astro for the House Pancake Races. Thanks to Mr Packer’s organisational prowess, the races went ahead safely and pupils from the Middle and Senior Departments, watched by those from the Jp3<^DeKa^k2e3k‰bakk+e<^ d H<pdeG+<^´H<b^++a3kkadk<dea++ e “¥¥øKpK+d<pka3de3%<3 some friendly rivalry between houses! Congratulations to Tudor House who were this year’s worthy winners of the Golden Frying Pan!

Our Science Wee( ke2e kd ea^ ad bee3 a32a+ c+addcak<3 a3d adaptation. The pupils have enjoyed hands on experience ka32a+d^<2ke2a%<^c+addcak<3^<pKd´Te light of the week was seeing Harriet the tarantula devour a locust, and in Woodlands, our youngest pupils were thrilled when their duckling hatched. ! In addition to the animals, we had a carousel of activities taking place in lessons to reinforce the teaching of c+addcak<3´O3M<3da‰T<KF<^2KpK+ddked<p3e^ year groups to assist with a range of experiments based on circles to tie in with the Maths Department’s celebration of Pi Day.
