Katarzyna Klein

Lady’s
32cm x
£360

In Katarzyna’s own words: “I paint distant views of a landscape peppered with buildings. Water or valleys may divide the dwellings yet they are all connected by the echoing shapes and restful hues of my palette. A foreground detailed with wild flowers accentuates the perspective planes and graphic lines suggest paths and boundaries.”

Lindsay Madden studied Fine Art in Sunderland. She is fascinated by childhood. Using objects and photographs she explores this theme, observing her own children constantly changing and recording their individual journeys through this magical and transient time. West Yorkshire-based artists Christine Relton and Tom Marine have been painting collaboratively for almost two decades, working together on each canvas. “My work is inspired by the Gothic paintings of Europe and their joyful celebration of an elevated reality. I aspire to their luminous palettes enhanced with the elegance of gold and copper leaf. My imagery is a celebration of the timeless joys of gardens, meadows, birdsong and afternoon tea. These paintings are all on carefully prepared gesso panels, painted in egg tempera; and over painted in oils”.

Jane Muir

Garden (Large, 2 White Spotty Discs)

Ceramic, Wire

£740

Jane Muir’s idiosyncratic hand-painted figures represent a witty and uncluttered observation of the world. Each charming character is hand modelled. Their recognisable and individual traits are perhaps due to the freedom of the artist’s chosen medium- she uses clay, allowing her to develop her ideas during the making process.

N50.8970 W0.1910 PANO Edition of 25

MMP 122

100cm x 100cm

Mixed Media

£1,000

Mark’s work coalesces photography, painting and collage to create atmospheric pictures inspired by his experiences in nature. Bronze Resin

£1,800

Bronze Edition

£6,800

With their delicately balanced forms and rock like plinths Carol’s figures invite the viewer to mediate on the human condition, the step from adolescence to adult hood or the vulnerability of a mother and child. The sculptures are made in clay, which, like charcoal, is quick to make marks with. Once finished it is cast into bronze and resins, those fluid (sketch-like) marks of the making are then fixed forever.

Jamie Poole

Eternal Whisperings

Poole draws on a range of assets for inspiration, particularly the Northamptonshire landscape. Poole’s greatest inspiration by far is the classical poet, John Clare. Finding a kinship with Clare’s love of their shared pastoral landscape, Poole finds joy in incorporating Clare’s words into a collage form, celebrating the natural world, and all the ways one may appreciate it.

“My work is a constant striving to balance on the one hand my fascination with the object

using paint and enjoying the qualities of paint, breaking down and semi-abstracting the subject matter and surface – and on the other hand my desire to retain and capture the natural beauty of the subject, whether the human figure, an animal or a single bird.” - F. Prentice
