High Summer Formal Garden 120cm x 100cm Oil on Canvas £3,500

“My work is a constant striving to balance on the one hand my fascination with the object

using paint and enjoying the qualities of paint, breaking down and semi-abstracting the subject matter and surface – and on the other hand my desire to retain and capture the natural beauty of the subject, whether the human figure, an animal or a single bird.” - F. Prentice

Fireworks at Coombe

‘I see my life through colour’ is how Tessa Pearson describes herself, and through her art, her statement is reflected in a vivid kaleidoscope of floral splendour. She writes that ‘certain motifs recur over the years – palm trees, tulips, spots and circles, pink and turquoise. Now I find endless paintings from gardens, celebrating the simple joy’.

Ranunculas with Cooking Spoons & Easter Eggs

Acrylic

£3,995

Mainly on board in acrylic, occasionally incorporating collage with gold and silver leaf, Emma Dunbar says: ‘What excites me about making pictures is trying to capture the essence of a place, or a thing, I am not worried about visual accuracy. I am attracted to vivid colours and the decorative qualities in everyday objects..’ Landscapes, new seasons, sometimes just colour combinations, or fabulous bunches of flowers on a flattened table are frequently all I need and I am regularly purchasing new mugs for the next painting!’

Don’t Worry About That #2 Hand-bent Steel, Spray Paint

£1,200

All of Greg’s sculptures are created by cold hand bending steel rod or tube and judging by eye, a personal technique that I have developed and continue to advance. With this I am able to create unique shapes and forms not possible using machines or other conventional methods.

Wild Garlic 32cm x 32cm Paper £550

I use recycled paper to encourage you to look closer and consider the small and hidden details that may normally be over looked. I leave aspects of the original materials visible so the sculptures looks real and not real at the same time, inviting you to question the objects you see and the worlds or experiences I have documented.

Corten Steel

£1,100

Jeni Cairns is an artist sculptor living and working in the fens. Her whole life since childhood nature has given her constant inspiration and wonder. The connections and gold she has found have formed new pathways to explore in her work. In the filigree metal cutting there is an apparent delicacy and fragility as well as enduring strength which hopefully will continue to be apparent in nature.

Garden (Large, 2 White Spotty Discs)

Ceramic, Wire

£740

Jane Muir’s idiosyncratic hand-painted figures represent a witty and uncluttered observation of the world. Each charming character is hand modelled. Their recognisable and individual traits are perhaps due to the freedom of the artist’s chosen medium- she uses clay, allowing her to develop her ideas during the making process.

Fading Peony 40cm x 25cm Paper £550

“There’s no doubt that my work has a connection to a childhood spent surrounded by the vibrancy of the natural world, with my daily memories being of rolling fields and wildflowers swaying in the breeze. My pieces celebrate realism, beauty and romanticism.”
