Claire Turner was born in 1950 and studied Art and Education at Goldsmith’s College, London, specialising in Silkscreen Painting. She works with a variety of textile techniques constructing pictures using selected fabrics, which she then draws, paints and stitches on to.

Her resulting pictures are highly atmospheric and colourful depictions of architecture and cityscapes. The city of Cambridge and it’s variety of buildings are a particular source of inspiration for the artist. Claire has taken commissions for private clients of places in the UK, Spain and Greece. Byard Art have represented her work since 2007.
