The Logo

Logo Identity

The Leon Hotel is a conceptual play on the Atlanta community within Ponce City Market and The Beltline. I took the japanese symbol of community and the letter L from Leon to develop the logo. By playing with the word community and type I was able to reach a final design. With adjustments of curvilinear

forms I was also able to create a path as if it were a sidewalk on The Beltline. The symbol has balance and symmetry which gives it a contemporary feel. To continue the modernity of the symbol I paired it with a simple and clean cut san serif typeface to have a unified design.

Primary Logo The primary logo is shown here. The logo comprises of two elements: the symbol and the word mark (Leon Hotel), which in this case is side by side in a horizontal orientation. Our primary color, used in the primary logo, is a warm gold color which has been used to give the logo a luxurious and modern feel. 6x

It is important to keep corporate marks clear of any other graphic elements. To regulare this, an area of isolation has been established around the corporate mark. This exclusion zone indicates the closest any other graphics element or message can be positioned in relation to the

mark of the symbol itself and our company name - they have a fixed relationship that should never be changed in any way. Whenever you use the logo, it should be surrounded with clear space to ensure its visibility and impact. No graphic elements of any kind invade this zone.

Our primary and preferred logo is in gold. This logo must only appear on a white background. The secondary logo is white and must only appear on a dark background. The black logo should only be used when no other colours are allowed, for example in a newspaper ad. The gold logo is always the preferred option to use whenever possible.

Primary Color Palette

Color plays an important role in The Loen Hotel identity. The colors below are recommendations for various media. Coonsistent use of these colors will contribute to the cohesive and harmonious look of the Leon Hotel brand identity across all relevant media. Check with your designer or

printer when using the coporate colors and that they will always be consistent. The core primary color palette will cover the majority of needs. It is intentionally small in variety so as to not dilute the brand visuals. Color profiles include: pantones, CMYK, and RGB information.

Iconography

These are our line drawing icons. They are recongnizable, clean cut, and simple in design. These icons can be used as similarly to the logo guidelines. They can use the primary pantone in ful color or reverse as well as black and white. The secondary color scheme is not permitted to use for this iconography. The following icons include: girls restroom, mens restroom, handicap, elevator, restrooms, exit, parking, stairs, upstairs, downstairs, wifi, restaurant, cafe, bar, concierge, and no smoking.

27

Hotel Exterior

The Leon Hotel building aerial view mockup is shown here. The monumental sign is also included here. For the architectural design I use a main glass structure with accents of brick. I use the brick to collaborate my design with the Ponce City Market structure that would be in close proximity of The Leon Hotel. Throughout the design I focus on the community nearby to keep a consistent environment. Another aspect of my design is mural art. I use mural art in my design because it is a important part of the community of the location on the Atlanta Beltline. The mural design I use on the exterior is used throughout other designs as well to keep consistency and balance. 28

Parking Lot Signage

Pictured here is the parking lot signage for The Leon Hotel. Parking lots are typically a area that would be overlooked and boring, but here I wanted to bring some fun and colorful design to this location. I repeat a similar mural design here for a fun environment. 29

Hotel Reception

30

Shown here is the reception area and interior signage for The Leon Hotel. The reception area would be to the right of the main entrance doors. The goal for this design was to create a inviting environment for each guest that enters the doors of The Leon Hotel. I acheive this by including bright light through a wall of windows, colorful accents, greenery, and the continued mural design.

Rooms Signage

Shown here is the rooms signage design. Each room should have this same design, the only thing that should be changed is the number in correlation to the room number. I chose to use the golden yellow color from the primary color palette and a simple san serif font for a simple and cllean cut sign. 31

Restroom Signage

Shown here is the restroom signage for The Leon Hotel. For the designs I used the iconography design and added a suspension off the wall to create unique cast shadows.
