1 Introduction

Ayesa recognises that modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. The term modern slavery includes not only slavery but also servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Ayesa is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships. Every effort is made to implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in its business or in any of its supply chains. ByrneLooby communicates its approach to its sub-consultants at the outset of the relationship and thereafter as necessary. Ayesa expects high standards from all its contractors, sub-consultants, suppliers and other business partners, and expects that its suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same standards.

2 Definitions
