The Bossier City Official Swearing in Ceremony for Mayor-Elect Thomas H. Chandler and the Bossier City Council was held at the Bossier City Civic Center on July 1, 2021. The Oaths of Office were administered by Judge Jeff Cox, Judge Tommy Wilson, Judge Santi Parks, and Judge Charles Jacobs. Mayor Tommy Chandler commended former Mayor Lo Walker for his four terms in office and the contributions he and his council made to Bossier City. 1. Bossier Arts Council 40th Anniversary

The Bossier Arts Council celebrated 40 years by throwing a huge party at their East Bank location. Bossier Arts Council Executive Director Robin Jones wanted to thank the community for their support of the arts by inviting everyone to their BAC 40th birthday party. Guests indulged in a delicious 5-layer cake, signature cookies, a charcuterie platter, and punch. The Bossier Arts Council is dedicated to promoting, supporting and providing cultural events and exhibits to enhance the quality of life through art. 1. The Trail Riders held a Boot Scootin’ Social at Artspace in Downtown Shreveport. The Art of Making Friends Night featured great music, line dancing, two steppin’ and socializing while Parish Taceaux provided appetizers and drinks. DJ ThaiLand spun the records while the SB Steppers showed off their dance moves. Parade of Trail Riders Trail Riders were circling the wagons at Artspace as they gathered for the first Northwest Louisiana Trail Riders Parade which included horses, riders, carriages and wagons. The parade traveled through Downtown Shreveport as parade goers cheered the cowboys from black trail riding clubs such at Bayou State, Port City, and Northwest Louisiana Trail Riders Association. After the parade, the party continued with a Block Party featuring food vendors and music from Brian Jack and Friends. 1. Justin and Torrie Davis 2. Victoria and Victor Hart 3.
