Live Event Painting
Live event painting provides a both unique experience and a forever piece of art illustrating the reception. And watching the artist throughout the event is an intriguing activity for guests. Capturing a moment in time on a canvas has been an artist’s challenge for millennia, according to local artist Hillary George. So how does she do it? She arrives a few hours before the event and takes photos the parts and pieces that make the couple’s event special, like flower arrangements, furniture layout, or special rentals they’ve chosen to make their reception unique. Then she begins painting the background while awaiting the guests. Once the event begins she takes more photos and begins adding in special touches and people. She can even add in pets or family members that couldn’t attend but were there in spirit!
Color Mixing white and colorful hues in interesting combinations has arrived! Floral bouquets, bridesmaids’ dresses, and table linens are exuding brightness and joy.

Unity Glass A colorful twist on the unity candle ritual is the pouring of two color mixes of small pieces of colored glass called frit into a glass container, which is later turned. At Sanctuary Glass Studio in Shreveport, couples can select the colors of glass and request a Sanctuary artist to create a one-of-a-kind work of glass art to keep forever. Or once they return from their honeymoon, they can go to the studio with their families and wedding party. Using the color mix, each person will create their own glass item by shaping it and applying color and take home a permanent keepsake. There are many options, and ornaments are always popular!
