THEATRE PAVILION YEAR 1 STUDIO PING SHAN, N.T., HK PUBLIC SPACE PAVILION
Ping Shan Village , a historical old village in New Territory of Hong Kong, has a rich background in Cantonese Opera. The design is an outdoor pavilion to play Cantonese Opera for residents in the Village. Not only will it provide entertainment, but it also act as a new social space.

Transparency as a spatial condition. By overlapping spaces, boundaries are blurred and redefined. Using sticks as spatial element to create an exhibition space.
HOTEL FARM+ YEAR 2 STUDIO POKFULAM VILLAGE, HK MIXED- USE HOTEL & URBAN FARM
Pokfulam Village is one of the oldest villages remaining on Hong Kong Island. In this organically growing historic village, the focus of study is to investigate the temporal space between structures along a path in the heart of village both the macro level and micro level. The hotel designed to offer an organic lifestyle combine with farming experience. While utilizing existing farm land in the village to create organic farms, the hotel serves as a gathering place for many activities with a pavilion on organic farming and cooking.

COMMUNITY SPORTS CENTER YEAR 2 STUDIO SHIJIAZHUANG, HEBEI, CHINA MIXED- USE MARKET & GALLERY
The program is to design a community center for the rural town of Luquen in Shijiazhuang city. The facility consisted three types of spaces namely multipurpose component (sports), social (leisure), and residential component (guest rooms). The total GFA of the project is approximately 1500 sq. m. This facility is design for those that enjoy sports and want to train and exercise on a daily basis. The building is separated into three zones with sports, activity, and living. Design Focus: 1. Create a playing field for sports event 2. Pockets of spaces connecting the indoor with outdoor 3. Respond to climate and local setting

Passive Design Strategy Daylight: Using clerestory windows to admit sunlight.

Shading: Roof overhang and internal louvres to block excessive summer solar radiation. Heating: Trombe wall built along the south facing walls, which consist of grout-filled CMU, brick wall, insulation, dark metal sheet, and high R-value and transmittance glass. Ventilation: Windows align with prevailing wind direction create north to south to cross ventilation and venturi effect.
A SOCIAL LABORATORY YEAR 3 STUDIO CHEUNG CHAU, HK MIXED- USE MARKET & GALLERY
Cheung Chau, an outlying island of Hong Kong, is home to a thriving fishing industry in the past and now a popular tourist spot famous for the annual bun festival. The design is a mixed- use program consist of market and multimedia gallery with the reorganization of existing Dai Pai Dong. Inspired by the historical Cheung Chau theatre, the project aim to bring back film experience and mixed into the everyday life of Cheung Chau’s market and food culture. As pockets of open spaces are important features of Cheung Chau’s urban fabric, by opening up these programs on pedestrian level, the mixing of these three elements give opportunity for interaction and new social experience.

CAMELOT RESEARCH AND VISITOR CENTER YEAR 3 STUDIO SOUTH CADBURY, UK MIXED- USE RESEARCH & MUSEUM
The Camelot Research and Visitor Center is a place of exploration and discovery. The project aims to wrap around the landscape and to be consider as part of Camelot’s story. It is developed from the edge of a slope, giving a new limit that goes beyond the building and extends to the landscape behind of its surrounding environment. The museum, the research center, and the family activity center, provide to the new building the union between past, present and future. These segments of buildings together form an integrated space to continue the story of Camelot.

From Feasting Hall to Shipwreck In Medieval period, the“Feasting Hall”was a place for assembled feasts, attended minstrels, and planned campaigns. From excavation at south Cadbury hillfort, a slight bulge in the walls suggested“a boat-shaped like building”was an appropriate design for a Medieval Hall. With ruins at the excavation site, today’s Camelot is like a shipwreck ready to connect the past and the future.
