m Angeliki and my friends call me Kika. Since I was a kid, l constantly meddled in my mother's kitchen. I liked to collect images, smells and tastes, while trying to save as much information and experience for future use. I have a weakness for sweets and therefore I'm constantly looking for healthy alternatives that offer enjoyment without the caloric burden while I give particular importance to the nutritional value of my ingredients. For me, being in the kitchen and testing new recipes is the best psychotherapy. I feel complete when I share my food with loved ones, old friends and new which I make thanks to CooKika's virtual kitchen.

i, I am Athena owner of the blog craftcooklove.gr. I enjoy cooking and baking, decorating my space, easy crafting. I share all of this experience with my blog readers. Also I try to squeeze all of my roles within 24 hours: being a mum to Penelope, being a spouse to John, being a dog mum to Pares, being a working girl. Wish me luck!
H
ello, I ‘m Dimitra from Décor Asylum. I love a mix n match approach in décor and everything I create, instead of trends that end up looking like bad copy-pastes. I’m a leo, if that says anything about my personality, who loves white, gold and mint colors as well as sci-fi and horror movies. Surprisingly enough, for a Greek, I loath summers and adore winters. Apart from décor and DIYs, I am in love with my fiancé and our dog, Hera (or Monster as we call her).

i! My name is Eleni and you can find me and read me at my blog, CraftWithMom. Mom of two, but also addicted to crafts, the past 5 years I am trying to combine both of them. In love with the three men of my life, I am always getting inspired by them. I adore the sea, seashells and Greek islands, but also a walk in the mountains and rainy weather. I enjoy camping and spending time with my friends. I admire handmade things, made with love .
I
love to create things from old materials and especially jewels. My first love was sewing, but then I was trying to find more materials to use to create something useful. My first attempt? When I was almost 6 years old I created a necklace with beads from my grandma’s old curtain! More experiments followed with uncommon materials but finally my latest and biggest love is fabric buttons!!!! My life completed with my young princess and the young prince! Crafting small creations and jewels with my girl is something really relaxing for me. And what about the prince? Well, yesterday he started using glow! He will soon be an active member in our projects!

i! I am Maro also known as Akamatra, which is an old fashioned way to say (in Greek) that a woman is lazy in house related chores! That's me! I love to experiment with DIY projects (blame it on my Chemistry background) instead of doing the dishes! I am addicted to crafting, drinking tea and eating chocolate. I try to make things that I need and I don't bother myself with complicated DIYs that produce sophisticated stuff no one is going to use! Stick around, we'll have fun!

ummer is so close and this is the greatest opportunity to wear
these gorgeous sandals we have bought last year and we didn’t manage to enjoy and the beautiful watermelon red nail polish that we wanted to get! Nice thoughts…at least for the beginning! Because after a while you realize that all this time you were enjoying your boots and that you have to change your style… and that means that now is the time to take care of our feet more. So here is the chance for a relaxing foot bath and not only!

TIPS!
• Vitamin E is used in order to extend the lifecycle of the scrub. If you do not have any, there is no problem, but remember you have 2-3 months to use it. • If you do not like lemon or lavender, you can use other essential oils. Just use your imagination… 12
L
et’s start then! Foot bath will have great results if we combine it with foot exfoliate, with a homemade scrub! Easy to make it, with a gorgeous aroma because of lemon and lavender and it make our foot smooth because of the honey!
Ingredients: 1 tea cup white sugar 1 tea cup almond oil 1 tea spoon honey 4 drops lavender essential oil 6 drops lemon essential oil 1 drop vitamin E The procedure is really easy. In a small bowl combine the white sugar with almond oil. Stir well until ingredients are well combined and then add the honey slowly and the essential oils. Place in air tight container and store. Use it at least once per week. Just do not forget to use a cream also after. Have in mind that if you take care of your foot just before going to sleep, try to use your socks‌and in the morning your foot will be so soft!

Driftwood and lace sailboats Maro | www.akamatra.com
I
am an incurable thrifter! I love to collect things and use them to
make something else! Over the years, I've tried to control this urge of mine since I hate clutter. I am happiest when something I've found and brought home turns into something I can use or gift! Driftwood is no exeption to this rule and I've had bags and bags of these amazingly handsome woods from all over Greece! This year, I decided to make them into little cute sailboats to gift to my mom for mother's day! I wanted to make something romantic for her and when I saw this on pinterest I knew I've found my next DIY!

Chicken Tortillas with Avocado Athena | www.craftcooklove.gr
D
uring summertime I am constantly avoiding all short of heat in
my kitchen. The last thing on my mind on a hot summer day is to stand over a hot steaming pot. So my favorite recipes are usually the ones involving the least heat possible. The tortillas are made from left over chicken for the Sunday’s barbecue! If you don’t have left over chicken lying around, be a hero and grill some for this delicious recipe!! You wont regret it!

Basil the golden flamingo Dimitra | decorasylum.blogspot.gr
M
eet Basill, the golden flamingo. He is no ordinary bird!
For starters, he’s a flamingo, how ordinary can that be? He has a name, another novelty for a wild bird and last but not least, well…, he is golden. If you too would like Basill to be in one of your pots, then continue reading. You can have him ready in less than 15 minutes and is an easy pie, even if you cannot draw a straight line [by the way, a straight line is one of the hardest things to draw free hand!]

You will need: A white ceramic pot, a printout of a flamingo silhouette (just google up “flamingo silhouette”), scissors, x-acto knife, masking tape, liquid gold leaf, pencil & a small brush. Make yourself a cup of ice coffee and let’s begin… 24
Cut out the flamingo silhouette (1) Tape “Basill to be” on the pot and trace around him with the pencil (2) Remove the paper and fill in the flamingo shape with liquid gold leaf (3) Let if fully dry, pop in a plant (basil seemed appropriate in this case!) and enjoy Basill! 25
26
It goes without saying that you can use the same technique to create other animals too, with their proper names of course!
Happy crafting, Dimitra

Dino Terrarium! Eleni | craftwithmom.blogspot.gr
a
s a genuine boy, my son loves dinosaurs and the idea of making for them a "house", a small jungle, thrilled him!
I loved it too, because as you can see from the result it could be a beautiful decoration for the kitchen, the children's room or the terrace! You can customize the terrarium of your choice! Forest animals, reptiles, wild animals, or insects could live in there!

Crochet a hanging water bottle cozy Maro | www.akamatra.com
S
pring is here and the summer is not far away!
The hot weather calls for cool beverages and my favorite one is plain water. I can't go anywhere without a plastic water bottle. However I don't like carrying it around and it's too much weight for my bag. So I decided to make a hanging water bottle cozy to wear and free my hands when I go shopping or walking. It's perfect to wear like a messenger bag or hang in a baby stroller.

The pattern is really easy. I used two summer colors (green and pink) and a yarn that looks like a ribbon and it's 85% cotton and 15% viscose. You may use any kind of yarn you like but bear in mind it's elasticity. You want it to keep its shape. You are going to need two yarn colors, green and pink and a 4.00mm crochet hook. The pattern is written in US terms.
1. Make a magic circle (mc) and 8 half double crochet (hdc) in the mc. Close with a slip stitch (sl st) 2. Chain 1 (ch1) and then 2hdc in each st around. Close with a sl st. 3. Ch1, *1hdc in the next st, 2hdc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * and close with a sl st. 4. Ch1, * 1hdc in the next 2 sts, 2hdc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * and close with a sl st. 5. The circle should now be around 6.5 7.0 cm. 6. Ch2, 1hdc in back loop only (blo) in each of the st around. Close with a sl st. 7. Ch2, skip 1 st and 1hdc in the next st. *Ch1, sk 1 st, 1hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * and close with a sl st.
8. Do 2 sl sts to reach the ďŹ rst ch1 space of the previous round. Make 3hdc (counts as 1 hdc) *ch1 and 1hdc in the next ch1 space* Repeat from * to * and close with a sl st. 9. Repeat number 8 for 4 more rounds. 10. Ch2 and 1hdc in each st around. Close with a sl st. 11. Change to pink and repeat number 10. 12. Repeat number 8. 13. Repeat number 10. 14. Change to green and repeat number 10. 15. Repeat number 8 for the next 5 rounds.
39
16. Repeat number 10. 17. Repeat numbers 11-16. Close and cut off yarn. 18. With the pink yarn make a long chain (I did ch70) and pull it through the loops of the round before the last one to make a closing bow. 19. With pink make 3 sl sts in any point of the last round and then make a long handle for your cozy by crocheting 1hdc in each of the 3 sts. I ended up making 110 rows of hdcs but you can customize it to your size. When you reach the desired length ďŹ nd the opposing end of the one you started and bring together the handle with slip stitches. Cut off yarn and weave in all ends. Your bottle cozy is ready!!!!
Cheers!
Summer Bookmarks Eleni| craftwithmom.blogspot.gr

ummer is completely connected in our minds with sea and relaxation! And where relaxation there is always a book!
I will admit though, that in recent years I abstain a lot from this picture and I am usually building castles in the sand and searching around for the pirate treasure! We read enough with my children, but this year I would like to see them fliping through books by their own. So i decided to give them one more reason to do so! Those lovely summer bookmarks. Let’s see how easy it is to make them
