Some SMiShing text messages can even install trojan horses that invade your phone and let the bad guys listen to your conversations.

Never give out your cellular number to somebody you don’t know and trust, and if you do get a suspicious text, don’t respond. Just delete those bad boys and move right on by. This bad boy will take you from zero to 70 in just enough time (about four seconds) to realize that this may be the ride that actually makes you pee your pants.

Let’s go Ladolfing So you think you know how to throw a backyard barbecue, huh? You’ve got the grill, the sweet back deck and maybe even a few mosquito-repellant candles. But you’re still missing one thing: a simple-tobuild and simple-to-play backyard game to keep your guests entertained while you try not to burn their burgers. Not to worry, though. We’ve got you covered with the simple (and insanely fun) game known as Ladder Golf.
But first things first. You’ll need supplies: (Makes 2 ladders & 6 sets of ballropes.) • ¾" x 18" PVC pipes (18) • ¾" x 8" PVC pipes (8) •¾ " 90-degree elbow PVC pipe fittings (12) • ¾" T-shaped PVC pipe fittings (12) • 12 golf balls (6 of one color, 6 of another) • ½" nylon rope (six 15" pieces) • A tube or two of Super Glue

Now, as we all know, no backyard game is fully awesome unless it’s hand-built. You do want to be fully awesome, don’t you? Good. Then sit down, grab your favorite beverage and follow our handy-dandy illustrations to build your very own Ladolf set. If you’re feeling really creative, you can even paint your set to match your favorite sports team’s colors – and we also hear that red, white and blue look pretty rockin’ together.
HOW TO PLAY 1. Get two teams of two people. 2. Set up your ladders about 5 paces apart, with one person from each team at each ladder. 3. Have the first player from each team take turns throwing three ballropes apiece, then add up the score and let the second players throw. 4. Keep going until you hit 21. Easy enough? We thought so. SCORING Top rung – 1 point Middle rung – 2 points Bottom rung – 3 points The ballrope has to stay on a rung to count, and the first team to 21 wins. Cancelling points – for example, if you score 3 and your opponent scores 2, you only get 1 point and they get 0. And, as always, you’ve gotta win by 2.

• Use a ½-inch bit to drill a hole directly through 2 golf balls (one for each end of the rope).

• Coat the inside of the holes you just drilled with Super Glue. • Thread the rope through so that the end of the rope is flush with the outer edge of the golf ball. • Voila – you’ve got yourself a ballrope. Now just make 5 more of these bad boys and you’ve got yourself a set.
