MOHAMMED WASEM’S INTERVIEW with The Voice: My chat with the winner of Britain’s Next Top Rapper By Sajida Neela, Voice.com I was fortunate enough to interview Mohammed Wasem aka ELIMINATOR: winner of cycle 3. Thank you Wasem for your great answers!

S:

Congratulations on your win! How does it feel to be the winner of Britain’s Next Top Rapper? W: It’s like a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to all those concerts that I’m gonna to be hitting soon. S: Are you still in touch with any of the boys from the show? W: From my cycle, I’m still in contact with Shipon and Oase. Now that the show is over, some of us still link up and have our ‘rap-off’ battles. S: Have you watched any of the other seasons of BNTR? Are you going to watch cycle 4? W: See what happens, I’m a busy man now you see! (hysterical laugh) Don’t have time for television, might just check on- line from time to time. S: What advice would you give for the next contestants and winners on BNTR? W: Follow your heart. You have to believe in yourself, and have a flow. The lyrics are most important and of course the beat as well. S: Are you working full time as a rap artist now?

W: Yeah, but I still got time to chill with my boys, and the usual really. Got other plans like attending concerts, but not quite sure, so will keep you posted, dont watch that! S: Do you see yourself as a good role model for younger boys or boys your age? W: I would like to think I’m a good role model for all the youngsters, I’ve got a good image, so hopefully they will be inspired by my music, not just my looks! HAHAHA S: Have you always wanted to be a rap artist? W: Without a doubt! Since I was like 5 years of age. I remember when I was younger I used to have practice sessions with my dad; he is the one who inspired me from the beginning. I began to pursue my dreams of becoming a rap artist, and now of course my dreams have come true. S: Thank you Wasem, it was a privilege to interview you, hope you are always successful with your music career W: Anytime! I always like to share a bit about myself and my music career, especially with The Voice!
