Hickory Chair began over 100 years ago in Hickory, North Carolina with a single product and
a simple vision. The product was a made-to-order dining chair. The vision was to combine the
authenticity and passion of classic craftsmanship with the efficiency and capabilities of modern
manufacturing.

Suzanne Kasler Collection The Monroe upholstery series has an Edwardian-inspired shape with French Moderne details including the wooden ash banding around the base and gracefully tapered solid ash legs. It has a 4-way hand-tied tight back for lumbar support and luxurious comfort. The series includes an 84-inch sofa with two seat cushions and three front posts and a 96-inch sofa with three seat cushions and four front posts, a chair and an ottoman. The Monroe series is standard with welt trim. As an option, welt with nail head trim around the base is available and shown on the 84-inch sofa, chair and ottoman shown below.

Suzanne Kasler Collection Celine was inspired by the large, luxuriously comfortable sofas that are found in European country homes. The deep seat and relaxed look make it appropriate for casual living as well as in more formal settings. Celine’s arms have an slight slope from the back to the termination of the sock arm. The skirted version features soft dressmaker tailoring while the exposed leg version has block legs.

Suzanne Kasler Collection The large and small Auburn Stools were inspired by a stool that Suzanne discovered at a Paris flea market. The original is from the 1940’s, with French Modern characteristics. The stool is simple, with clean lines, a sleek wood band around the base and slightly turned, tapered posts.

A signature of Suzanne’s work is dressmaker details mingled with upholstery. The Candler Bed allows for crisp tailoring and can be trimmed with petite nails, grosgrain ribbon or welt or with a slipcover draped over the upholstered back allowing the finish to show through the tied slipcover. The hand-carved frame features a very high upholstered headboard along with upholstered footboard and side rails. It is crafted from mahogany solids with fine ribbon stripe mahogany veneers. It features hand-carved French paw feet and a decoratively carved moulding under the top panel with custom designed antiqued brass hardware. The Carlyle is available in two sizes, both offering ample storage, pull out trays on each end, adjustable wooden shelves behind the doors and a pacific cloth liner in one drawer. A hidden drawer is centered in the bottom rail. Available with a choice of wood or stone top, allowing for personalization and versatility.

Adair is the standard finish. Suzanne Kasler Collection The Adair Mirror was inspired by an antique Irish Mirror, circa 1840, that hangs in Suzanne’s bedroom. The original mirror is a very rare 19th century ebonized and gilt wood oval wall mirror, with ivory accents and faceted cut clear glass mounts. The Adair Mirror is larger than the muse piece at 36" in diameter while the original was 20" x 28". The faceted cut glass has been replaced with genuine SwarovskiTM crystals.
