CADIN360.COM LEARNING TUTORIALS Let’s learn How to break line using Break command. In AutoCAD Break command is used to break an object into two parts. Mainly it is used to delete some portion of an object. With Break command you can break lines, arcs, ellipses, xlines, splines, circles and polylines. You can create a gap between two specified points on an object, breaking it into two objects. If the points are off of an object, they are automatically projected on to the object. BREAK is often used to create space for a block or text.
To learn how to break line using Break command follow below mentioned steps. 1. Now, click on the Modify panel title bar to expand the Modify panel.

You can also activate Break command by entering BREAK or BR at the Command line. Another method to select the Break command is also available. You can select the Break command from Menu Bar > Modify > Break. You can also find Break command in Modify toolbar of the AutoCAD classic workspace.

4. By default first break point is selected when you select the object. 5. If you want to specify the first break point then you can use First point option of the Break command. 6. Next, type F for First break point. 7. Next, press Enter to proceed further.

11. There are various methods to activate the Break command. 12. You can activate Break command from command line. 13. Next, type BR or BREAK in command line.
