In AutoCAD tooltips is a small box of text that identifies or explains an object or interface element when the cursor hovers near or over it. By default Tooltips is in active mode. 1. Observe that, Tooltips is not displayed, when a cursor placed over a Line command in Draw panel under Home tab.

4. Once you click on the Options button, Options dialog box opens.

6. Next, check the Show ToolTips check box under Display tab of Options dialog box of AutoCAD.
In AutoCAD Show Tooltips option controls the display of tooltips.
