In AutoCAD Explode command is used to break compound objects such as blocks, polylines, regions, polyface meshes, polygon meshes, multilines, 3D solids, 3D meshes, bodies, or dimensions into the basic objects. Explode command breaks a compound object into its component objects. Explode command explodes a compound object when you want to modify its components separately. Objects that can be exploded include blocks, polylines and regions, among others. You can also activate Explode command by entering EXPLODE or X at the Command line. Another method to select the Explode command is also available. You can select the Explode command from Menu Bar > Modify > Explode. You can also find Explode command in Modify toolbar of the AutoCAD classic workspace.

You can also select the object by using various object selection methods such as window or window crossing method. 4. Next, press Enter or Right-click to explode the object.
