CADIN360.COM LEARNING TUTORIALS Let’s learn how to use Hatch command. In AutoCAD Hatch command is used to create a pattern in closed area to highlight it. A hatch object displays a standard pattern of lines and dots used to highlight an area, or to identify a material, such as steel or concrete. It can also display a solid fill or a gradient fill. To learn, how to use Hatch command follow below mentioned steps. 1. Now, click on the Hatch command in Draw panel under Home tab.

You can also activate Hatch command by entering HATCH or H at the Command line. Another method to select the Hatch command is also available. You can select the Hatch command from Menu Bar > Draw > Hatch. You can also find Hatch command in Draw toolbar of the AutoCAD classic workspace.

3. Then, pick internal point in an area that is enclosed by objects.

Similarly, pick internal point.

6. Next, specify 6 in Hatch Pattern Scale input box.

8. Again, press Enter to exit the Hatch command.

You can also use Spacebar in place of Enter key.
