In AutoCAD Offset command is used to draw parallel lines, polylines, concentric circles, arcs, and curves at a specified distance from the original object. To create an offset you have to specify the offset distance and the side to offset. To learn, how to use Offset command follow below mentioned steps. 1. Now, click on the Offset command in Modify panel under Home tab.

Offset command creates concentric circles, parallel lines, and parallel curves. You can offset an object at a specified distance or through point. After you offset objects, you can trim and extend them as efficient method to create drawings containing many parallel lines and curves. You can also activate Offset command by entering OFFSET or O at the Command line. Another method to select the Offset command is also available. You can select the Offset command from Menu Bar > Modify > Offset. You can also find Offset command in Modify toolbar of the AutoCAD classic workspace.

You can also use Spacebar or Right-click in place of Enter key.

5. Next, select line to offset.

7. Next, press Enter to exit the Offset command.

You can also right-click to display the shortcut menu and then select the Enter or Cancel option from it to exit the Offset command. 8. Observe that, offset line is created at a specified offset distance by using the Offset command.
