Under the Same Sky…We Dream, Erika Harrsch. A beautiful and haunting multimedia installation speaks about sanctuary and US/Mexican border. On view through November 17, 2019.
The Light Show. 250 objects drawn from the DAM’s collections explore physical and symbolic representations of light in art. On view through May 3, 2020.
#WhatisUtopia, Jonathan Saiz. 10,000 tiny drawings, paintings, and sculptures are installed to address community and place. On view through November 17, 2019.
Treasures of British Art: The Berger Collection. Art from 1400s - 1800s tells the story of Britain’s rich cultural history. On view through July 12, 2020.
Words and Lines, Shantell Martin. An interactive multimedia installation is made of whimsical line drawings. Opens September 27, 2019.
Edge of Alchemy, Stacey Steers. Animated surreal collages tell the story of fairy alchemists. Opens September 20, 2019.
Flora, Teresa Hubbard/Alexander Birchler. Mixed-media work is based on the artists’ discoveries about an unknown American artist Flora Mayo with whom the Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti had a love affair in Paris in the 1920s. September 20, 2019.
Francesca Woodman: Portrait of a Reputation. Photos of Francesca Woodman (1958 - 1981) show a rising young artist and daughter of ceramicist Betty Woodman. September 20, 2019.
Black Cube
The Downtown Denver Alleyways Project in Denver. Installations in alleys off the 16th Street Mall (exact locations at: https://blackcube.art/exhibition/betweenus).
Monumental: A Collection of Artworks in a Public Space, Temporary Monuments to Denver, Nikki Pike, Noah Manos, and Jaime Carrejo. Located outside of the Colorado Convention Center, each artwork is sited atop a large-scale monument base that was custom made for the project. https://blackcube.art/ exhibition/monumental. Monumental: A Collection of Artworks in a Public Space, For Freedoms, Hank Willis Thomas, Emily Shur. A billboard triptych of images depicts three interpretations of a town hall meeting portrayed in Norman Rockwell’s iconic 1943 Freedom of Speech painting. At 1345 Champa St., Denver, CO.
