America’s flowers
More than ever before, consumers care about where the flowers they purchase are grown. For every dollar a California farmer earns, 92 cents goes right back into the local economy. Thatʼs a terrific return on an investment for buying “locally grown” flowers and foliages!

The elegant, graceful beauty of callas is one of nature’s finest accomplishments, and at CallaCo®, a division of Golden State Bulb Growers, we produce the best of these fabulous fresh-cut flowers. A century of experience Our specialty callas, branded Callafornia Callas®, are grown year-round in California’s Monterey Bay area, and they benefit from the experience of Justin Brown and his family, who have been in the flower industry for five generations and 100 years. Through every decade and with each generation, we continuously improve our products to ensure the longest-lasting, highest-quality flowers. Modern developments The sophisticated calla is available in a rainbow of hues, from the classic white to pinks, lavenders, purples, oranges, yellows and more. We are constantly working to develop new varieties, such as our ‘Arctic White’ midsized Calla. It is a pristine white, which we cut open, and is perfect for wedding work and arrangements. It quickly became one of our best-sellers. In addition, we offer custom-pack orders in several box sizes and wet packs, and our state-of-the-art loading dock ensures our flowers are stored in the perfect environment so they arrive at your facility in flawless condition. An honor and a privilege Our extensive range of hues allows florists to beautifully fulfill their bridal customers’ visions. Meeting the tremendous demand for callas as wedding flowers is a focus our staff takes seriously, and they consider it an honor to be part of consumers’ special occasions. At CallaCo, we produce flowers of such beauty and quality that can come only from the Brown family’s years of experience and that our customers can rely on — without fail — year-round.

Decades of expertise Established more than 70 years ago, Glad-A-Way Gardens began as a two-acre Gladiolus farm selling from a roadside stand in Northern California. Customers would mention to the owners, John Canine and his sons Neil and Jean, that they had traveled “a ways” to buy their glads; hence, the name “Glad-A-Way” was born. In the 1940s, the Canines began selling at the San Francisco Flower Market and eventually moved their production to the Central Coast. Today our company is owned by Brian Caird and family, who purchased it in 2004. Prime California location Glad-A-Way Gardens comprises more than 350 acres in the Santa Maria Valley, just north of Santa Barbara, which has the perfect conditions for year-round propagation of our 100 percent “CA GROWN” bulbs as well as planting, harvesting and shipping. Our peak production season is April through November, with limited production December through March. We continuously hybridize new and improved varieties to create the largest and longest-lasting blooms possible. 100% USA grown A large part of Glad-A-Way’s success is that we breed and hybridize our own bulbs. Where many growers import their bulbs, we are 100% USA grown and are currently developing 19 new varieties for commercial production. We chose these for their remarkable strength, color and vase life. These will soon join our other 40+ award winning varieties and traditional colors of our Prima Classe and Legacy brands. Glads’ tremendous value and long vase life make them a favorite cut flower. We produce more than 29 percent of all domestically produced glads, and we proudly boast that our glads are 100 percent USA grown, from bulb to bloom!

Our decades of experience and knowledge assure lush, blemish-free roses that are rich in color and extremely long lasting. We are proud to be a California company. Our customers have become more concerned about where their flowers come from and are encouraged that our carbon footprint for shipping flowers is dramatically lower than for imported roses. Personal involvement We never lose sight of the fact that our roses impact not only the beauty of consumers’ special events but also the emotions involved, lending an American-inspired elegance brought by no other flowers. We are committed to continuing our tradition of excellence and innovation as well as providing our customers with the affordable luxury of dazzling roses.

The Campos family’s commitment to providing quality products, excellent service and a varied inventory of cut flowers and foliages makes Camflor, Inc. one of the largest and most reputable cut flower and foliage growers in California. New varieties every year Each year, we select 10 to 15 varieties of flowers to introduce into our product line. Once customers give us feedback, we decide which ones we add to our planting schedule. This has allowed us to pick and choose what our customers really want us to grow. Wide-ranging selection Today, we offer more than 200 varieties of cut flowers and greens — one of the most extensive offerings of any grower. We follow floral trends and seek out distinctive products that give our customers a competitive edge. And with more than 200 open field acres and 50 acres of greenhouse and hoop-house production in the Watsonville area, we can assure a consistent flow of quality flowers on a yearround basis. Commitment to quality and service In the past year, our commitment to providing fresh, healthy products led us to switch the packaging for the majority of our products from plastic sleeves to kraft paper sleeves, to reduce condensation during transportation, thereby improving the quality of the flowers our customers receive. Such dedication to providing quality products and meeting customers’ needs comes from more than 25 years of experience in the business. At Camflor, discerning buyers will find exactly what they need — variety; excellent service; and fresh, beautiful flowers and greens.

Over the years, the company has expanded, adding foliage farms and distribution centers in Mexico, Texas, Florida, Washington and California; a fresh flower division (Best Blooms, specializing in importing Mexican-grown tropical flowers); and a Design Center. Today, the company is run by the second and third generation of Everetts, including sons Jerome and Jim and their children. Jim’s daughter, Jennifer, is the manager of the California operation. Quality products, extensive selection From the beginning, CFG has focused on providing quality products and meeting customers’ needs. Customer service is also about the quality, and at the California location, a 5,000-square-foot cooler makes sure the cold chain is maintained. Throughout the company’s wide-ranging operations, its experienced staff make sure customers are the highest priority.
