Foundation Activities ✿ Annual plant sale on the third Saturday in May ✿ Bloomin’ Bingo—September When you join the Master Gardener Foundation of Thurston County, you connect with a group of avid and knowledgeable gardeners. Although many are WSU Extension Master Gardeners, it is not a requirement for membership.
Membership Benefits ✿ Regular membership meetings that include time to mingle with other gardeners and feature lectures by notable garden experts ✿ Regular e-mail updates on local gardening events and resources ✿ Discounted prices for meetings, activities, events, and unique garden tours not generally open to the public ✿ Opportunities to lead, learn new skills, and contribute to the health of the community ✿ The privilege to vote and influence Foundation policy ✿ Friendships with like-minded people
✿ Entertaining and educational trips and workshops ✿ Making and selling garden themed items ✿ Informing and educating the citizens and decision makers of Thurston County about the value of the Master Gardener (MG) and Master Recycler Composter programs (MRC)

• Closed Loop Park at Hawks Prairie • Dirt Works in West Olympia • Olympia Farmers Market in downtown Olympia
✿ Plant clinics at the West Olympia WSU Extension Office and the Olympia Farmers Market ✿ Annual WSU Extension MG and Thurston County MRC training ✿ Annual scholarships for local horticulture students ✿ Free educational workshops at demonstration gardens and in the community
