INTERIORS CATALOG LOFT NEAR THE SEA

INTRODUCTION

Initially i did this project with the intention of always keeping my personal projects porfolio up to date. I belive it is always important for an 3D Artist to always seek knowledge to improve their artistic and technical skills. For this project i used all the artifices and technical knowledge available to me so far.Always keeping in mind that i would make the Still Images of environment using 3D Studio Max together with Corona Renderer. But soon as this step was completed i would take whis scene to Unreal Engine to produce videos and a tour based on images. To make the project for this mini-artbook i followed a few steps that i will comment more further. My creation process initially consists of goninf after the references necessary to start the work, as the main reference, i used the CASACOR project by Architect Juliana Pippi, called “Loft para perto do Mar”.

MODELING The beginning of the process consists in collecting the photografic references. i start the modeling of the architecture based on the project plan of reference, after do all the construction part like, walls, windows, door and coatings, i finish the architectural modeling phase. Also based on references, i do all similar furniture and decoration surveys for compose the entire scene, positioning some models and modeling some models needed to complete this step.

LIGHTING AND SHADERS After the entire modeling process, enter the scene lighting process, initially i do a more basic lighting using Sun+Sky to check if the scene has any modeling defects. After this check i made a lighting hierarchy more advanced, using an HDRI instead of Sun+Sky, Retangle Lights in the windows to reinforce the entrace of natural light and Disks Lights in the ceiling ti lighten some shadows and give some highligths, thus composing all the lighthing. Finishing the lighting stage, i start the the stage of making all the main shaders of scene. For have used some High Resolution Textures in conjuction with composite and later materials to add more color variations and reflections to materials. And after made all materials from models imported from scratch.

FINISHING And after finishing the shaders step, i do the composition of cameras with intention of selecting the views that most value the project, using the rules and artifices of photography such as framing, with lens, depth field and motion blur. With that step in the 3D software is finished, i just render the cameras in high resolution and do the post production in photoshop to finalize the images.
