• Volunteer program provides work experience

The Salties revegetation site in Aeroglen provides a place for work experience opportunities for large groups such as the Clontarf Foundation. Students are able to gain experience in weeding, and learn about the flora and fauna on site.

Smithfield State High School

Smithfield State High School students joined the Jabirus at Cattana Wetlands to assist with track works, removal of dead vegetation and general weeding. Teacher, Dylan Burns, pictured with his students (above far right), organised this with Green Space Our Place as part of Certificate II in Active Volunteering. The students are required to volunteer for a minimum of 20 hours to receive this certificate. Great job kids, thanks for your help.
