Sculpture Botanica Cairns

The Friends organised Scultpure Botanica Cairns once again with an Art Trail created in the Flecker and Gondwanan gardens in October. Six workshops were held over a four-month period where participants learnt skills from artists and weavers to make pieces that were later displayed as group works. An additional nine sculptures were created by commissioned artists. The Art Trail was installed in October and was on display for over two weeks, attracting many people to the Gardens ,including new visitors who had not been to the Gardens previously. The Friends received plenty of positive feedback from both locals and visitors.
