2017 Calgary Service Provider Executive Nominations The following members are continuing their two-year term as Executive: Helene deKlerk, Ryan Geake, Mickey Greiner, Jayne Myatt, Aaron Semkuley and Elaine Yost Nominations for the next two-year term are as follows: Alexi Davis, Director, Employment Services, Prospect Human Services Alexi has over 15 years’ experience in human services, developing and managing award-winning services that engage diverse stakeholders across sectors. At Prospect Human Services, he manages innovative diversity projects which are immersed in the arts and outdoor communities. Alexi participates on a number of councils, including the Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) Regional and Provincial Workforce Councils. He is also on the Steering Committee for Thrive, Calgary’s Community Economic Development Network. John Eng, Director of Operations, L’Arche John, as a CPA and CGA, has extensive experience in both private and non-profit sectors. John has gained varied and valuable experience working as finance director for various organizations such as, Ontario March of Dimes, Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (Toronto), Kerry’s Place Autism Services, and seniors care and accommodation at St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre. John’s goal is to ensure that administration serves to provide individuals with disabilities a good quality of life and a dignified position in society. Todd Rich, President and CEO of CLAS Over the past 36 years Todd has gained extensive experience in developing and operating a wide variety of programs to meet the unique needs of youth, individuals and families in both rural and urban communities. Todd has a history of representing the Calgary Region at various Provincial Committees and Initiatives. Since 2011, as a member of the Provincial Contract Advisory Committee, he has represented the perspective of the Calgary Region Service Providers. Throughout 2016 and early 2017 he participated as a member of the ACDS Contract Negotiations Committee to advocate and modify the terms of the Disability Services Contract Template. He has also been involved in various other initiative and committees including the Calgary Regional Workforce Council and the ACDS CET Council. Bruce Skorobohach, Director – Community Support Services Dept., Columbia College Bruce has worked in Community Disability Services for over 34 years. For the past 30 years he has been the Director of the Community Support Services Department at Columbia College. His team of 40 staff provide employment and community access services for adults with developmental disabilities. Bruce has a Bachelor of Social Work, is a Registered Social Worker, and is also a Certified Career Development Professional. Bruce has been a member of the Calgary Workforce Council for over 10 years and participates on the Diversity sub-committee. Erin Waite, Agency Director at Connections Erin is the Agency Director at Connections, which provides parenting and family support as well as Financial Coaching and Counselling to adults with developmental disabilities. Erin joined Connections in January 2011 after a long career in corporate communications and marketing services. Erin is active in an advocacy role, participates on a number of ACDS committees and, in her spare time, volunteers on the board of Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and at the Calgary International Film Festival.
