Life Force Cancer Foundation has been the key organisation delivering psycho-social care to people affected by cancer in the Sydney metropolitan area since it began in 1993. The Foundation is a non-profit organisation and in February 1996 received charitable status as a public benevolent institution. Cary Giezekamp was first a generous benefactor of the organisation and became a Director of Life Force in 1997. Having lost his mother from cancer at the age of 17, Cary, the eldest of seven children, had a great understanding of what it’s like for people living with cancer. His mother, Sandra, ran a support group in their home. Consequently Cary is vitally aware of the benefits of the Life Force programs.
