Welcome! Thanks so much for considering me as your wedding photographer!! Inside you’ll find answers to questions, tips/advice, and more about what I do. I love sweets. I’m a huge fan of seeing new places. I enjoy decorating my home. Flowers make me happy. Staying up late home laughing with friends and family is one of my favorite things to do, along with being in the great outdoors!! I like to describe my style as bright, romantic, timeless, and authentic. While trends come and go I would love for you to look back on your wedding and remember it being the perfect day that it was, filled with laughter, love, and time well spent with those you hold dearest, as well as capturing each and every delicate detail of the day. As a wedding photographer I am a strong believer in directing natural poses in beautiful light to di ensure each image is the dreamiest representation of the day. Enjoy!
ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS I love engagement sessions for so many reasons! The pure joy and love between a couple that I get to capture in a relaxed environment is seriously a dream come true! As your wedding photographer, it’s part of my job to tell your love story, which is why I think it’s so important not to skip out on pictures at this fun but short point in your lives. It’s a time when you are in pure bliss with one another and have made the best decision to spend the rest of your lives together! Another reason being is, it’s the perfect time for us to get to know eachother!! I learn more about y’all and how you interact and you can also understand and get to know how I work! I want you to feel nothing but comfortable and confident in front of myself and my camera! When the day of your wedding comes I want you to feel like you have one more friend you can rely on and trust! Plus it gives you more diverse images to display in your home of you and your sweetheart :)! In order to get those dreamy images, the best time for these sessions is 2 hours before sunset or 2 hours starting at sunrise! They can last anywhere from 1-2 hours. Feel free to bring multiple outfit options, I find that 2 works best! And don’t hesitate to ask if you need help figuring out a location!
Tips/Suggestions Plan a trial run with your hair and makeup with ample time before the wedding so you have a chance to think of any changes you may want to make! It may be fun to do it the day of your engagements or a special night out! Bring invitations, save the dates, and other stationary to be photographed while you’re getting ready. Have other details ready to be photographed in your getting ready rooms, for instance, jewelry, veil, shoes, dress, perfume, cuff links, tie, watch, boutonnieres, etc. Ask your florist to deliver your flowers to where you’ll be getting ready so they are available to photograph with your details and ready for your pre-ceremony photographs. Make sure to inform your photographer of any venue restrictions such as artificial ligthing use or where they can/can’t stand. Don’t forget to eat! You’ll need some energy for your big, exciting day! It’s good to have a kit ready for any emergencies (mints, sewing kit, stain remover, mini deodorant, bug spray, lip gloss, bobbi pins, pain reliever, and/or sunscreen). Wear a cute robe while getting ready- it’s flattering and easy! Assign a friend or family member to help gather people for formal family portraits, this is nice because this person knows everyone’s name on the shot list while the photographer may not! Light matters! When planning the day don’t underestimate what light can do to offer a soft, romantic look. In my book, the more natural light the better :).
